Flea Circus

A Rare Treat, beautifully presented & out of the ordinary!

Our Flea Circus is a joy to behold. A 30-minute show featuring mountains of audience interaction, lots of silly humour & a stunningly beautiful hand-made Flea Circus Arena. The theme is continued through to the costume, in a Victorian / steam-punk style. From the humour & the spectacle, through to the intricate detail of its construction, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Not only do children get lost in the imaginary world of the fleas; but the adults end up following them in for half an hour of pure escapism.

N.B.: In accordance with our Animal Welfare Policy, NO live animals are used in any of our shows.

Carry-on in chains

A bit of old-fashioned cheeky family fun!

Carry-on in Chains has a variety or presentation possibilities, from a 15-minute cabaret slot to a 30-minute full show. Full of carefully written word-play, and improvised around the audience too; plus a solid escape from solid steel shackles & a mailbag in the finale. The show is adaptable for a huge variety of audiences & venues, from street entertainment festivals to cabaret & everything in between. Just like in a traditional pantomime show, even the cheekiest of jokes within the show are over the heads of the kids. This show has been enjoyed by audiences of all ages for a number of years, with something for everyone. It's been performed in a variety of locations, including Covent Garden Piazza, street festivals, cabaret clubs & inside St. Paul's Church during a variety evening.

Punch & Judy

The Traditional Favourite...

... including the Crocodile, Baby, Policeman, the title characters and the sausages! By the end of the tale Punch (and the children) learn that bad behaviour has bad consequences, and should be avoided. I perform a slightly updated version of the traditional 17th Century show, featuring the crucial moral underpinning of the show. At the end of the show Punch learns an important lesson about the consequences of being unkind, while also admitting that he has done wrong - the vital first step towards future good behaviour. Every single show is performed live - not pre-recorded - to allow full interaction with the audience. You will also hear Mr. Punch's very distinctive voice - without it, it's just not Punch & Judy! Our Punch & Judy equipment has recently been lovingly hand-refurbished, after giving 14 years of loyal service, it's now ready for another 40!

Street Organ

Traditional Sound from a beautiful machine.

Our hand-built, entirely mechanical Street Organ always fascinates people of all ages. It's lovely, fun sound is complimented by its intricate hand-painted façade. A variety of music rolls are available; from traditional organ music to ABBA & other more recent styles. Franko recently designed & built a fully-animated choir of Toy Soldiers to sit atop the organ. Each one is linked by air power alone to a different note, and their mouths open in time with the music, creating wonder & delight. Passers-by also have the opportunity to look inside & see the workings too; as it contains no electronics at all, it's entirely mechanical.
